The City of Jersey City Fire Department protects approximately 300,000 residents in 12 square miles. Located in North Eastern part of the State of New Jersey, the fire department's 625 members operate 40 pieces of equipment protecting such landmarks as the Holland Tunnel, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.
